The New Year is just a day away and I think we can all agree we are elated it’s finally arrived.

Even though going from ‘20 to ‘21 won’t mean flipping a switch and all our problems (or pandemics) will be gone, new years bring hope and a fresh start.

While we might be thinking about how we want to enrich our relationships with others, we also should consider how we want to enrich our relationship with money.

So, today, I’m doing something different.

Rather than give you the usual 3-2-1, I’m giving you the 10-2-1.

Here are 10 truths about money, 2 actions, and 1 question to help you kickstart your new-year-new-relationship with money the right way.

10 TRUTHS

  1. There’s enough out there for all of us.
  2. At the end of the day, it’s all about how we show up and interact with the world. The more consistent we are in our boundaries, the more money will show up in our life.
  3. Want more opportunities for growth? Step into your boldness. Be the leader in charge of your life and allow your other resources to flow to you so you can accomplish what you want to accomplish.
  4. Money enjoys a confident person.
  5. If we want more money in our lives, we have to trust ourselves more.
  6. Think of money like water. Water provides life but stagnant water can’t do anything or if the water moves too fast it can be destructive. Money is the same way. We don’t want it to remain stagnant and we also don’t want it to move too quickly that it hurts us.
  7. Just because we have more money, doesn’t mean our problems go away.
  8. Money is not good or bad. Money is a resource. A piece of paper. It’s the power we give it, what we infuse it with that gives it power.
  9. Money is not good or bad. Money is a resource. A piece of paper. It’s the power we give it, what we infuse it with that gives it power.
  10. We need to celebrate what we achieve because in celebration there is joy and where there is joy there is money—guaranteed.

2 ACTIONS

  1. Go through the Attitudes of Money assessment again and see what attitude you need to work on. You may be surprised that your results have changed since you took it the first time.
  2. Looking at your results and the attitude where you need the most improvement, set one realistic goal to work on that attitude.

1 QUESTION

  1. Which money truth will I live by this coming year?
